Robinia Pseudoacacia
2017
Assemblage (wood and organic pigment on paper), 30 x 40 cm – 11.8 x 15.7 inches

Additional Information:
I collected the found objects that compose this body of work during my daily hikes in the forest. Then I chose and isolated some of the pieces I find more interesting. I usually show one natural element alone and unaltered, and in a second stage I add my intervention, which consists of extracting and using the pigment of the natural element to create my marks. This artwork is composed of two frames (11.8 x 15.7 inches, each). In the first one, acacia barks are mounted on paper. In the second frame, I used the pigment obtained from the bark to draw the lines with my fingers. Bark found at Villa Falconieri, central Italy, in November 2017.
