Frottage drawings (soil and grass on paper), 50 x 70 cm – 19.6 x 27.5 inches (x4), 13 x 21,5 cm – 5.10 x 8.40 inches (x 21)
On March 21, 2007, Naima was born. She’s the dog with whom I shared each day of my life for almost 14 years.
After her loss, on the day that would have been her 14th birthday, I went to visit her and I made 21 drawings by rubbing the paper directly on the earth and grass under the tree where she’s buried. This special kind of frottage, dictated by the search of closeness to her, allowed a way to give a material tangibility to my grief.
