Untitled
2009
Installation (plastic doll), 10 cm – 4 inches
Additional Information:
After my graduation, I questioned conceptually the sense of exhibiting artworks. I tried to address this concept ironically in an exhibition (2009, Spazio Zip, Frascati, Italy), where I installed a 4-inch doll looking at the wall. This work opened questions on the sense of the show, with humor. Also, this choice highlighted the contrast between the big and spectacular installations that often characterize contemporary art and disappearance as an interesting way to approach the exhibition: my work was almost invisible in the big gallery room, and my goal for the audience was to make people smile once they caught it.
